At PIA we have many years’ experience producing hundreds of independent reports for Criminal Injuries Compensation. Our assessments look in detail at how a crime has impacted a person’s mental health and functioning in daily life.
The assessment is conducted by a Clinical Psychologist experienced in interviewing individuals exposed to trauma, with a primary focus on safeguarding client well-being throughout the assessment process.
The report is prepared to support an application to the Office of Criminal Compensation. The report itself does not decide whether compensation will be awarded — that decision is made by assessors at the Office of Criminal Compensation at Department of Justice.
In many cases referral comes through a lawyer who is preparing the application. Refer Here
Individuals can also self-refer. Contact Office of Criminal Compensation to arrange payment to cover the cost of the report.
